The longest entry I've ever written........

Hmmm, After 2 weeks I got a chance to check my blog and what I find??? She tagged him and he tagged Moi!!!! Okie -Dokie here is my looong-list of ten things I miss Most in My Life...... ……which will help my readers to fall asleep hahahaha.

1. Indore: Me and D (my sis) were in Indore for 3 years for our studies that was the first time when we were away from home for such long period. It was fun, studies with our cooking experiments and lots of masti every day. I miss a lot of things about that City specially the evenings which me and D spend together in Sarafa Bazaar eating ‘aaloo ki kachori’ and ‘bhutte ke pakode’ with hot tea. And the friend circle, that was just awesome! And I still burst in laugh when I remember the day when some of our friends planed to call spirit with Ouija board .While they were asking questions to spirit, it just made me and Akku rolling on the floor, die laughing, as we believed its fake. Then one hot tempered friend of us got terrifically mad by our nonstop giggling and decided to end the show right there before we can ask some random questions :)

2.Vacations: I loved each and every thing about those summer vacations back home (Kerala) every year, which includes three days train Journey from MP (Madhya Pradesh) to home town, getting the special Hospitality from all close relatives as being “once in a year moon”, roaming like crazy all day long with the gang of cousins, eating green mangoes with salt and Chilly, Fishing but the most special thing was staying at “Kunjamma’s” (mom’s younger sis) home, which was near to sea. Me, D, cousin’s all of us was restricted to go to beach without Escort of any elder person. And we have been smart enough to break that rule whenever Kunjamma went to market by leaving the gang alone at home. Those days will never come back and I will miss them always.

3. My Father in law: I just spend 6 months with him but I feel like, to know him 6 days are more than enough for anybody, he was such a nice , easy going person. We had a big big age difference but when I sat down to listen him for hours I find out he is just like a friend. After hubby left, I was the only one who can dare to talk to him about taking medicines on time and drinking milk (that’s the only thing for which I saw him getting angry on Mother in Law); he was like my father to me without any in “law thing” attached with that. I can never forget the happiness in his eyes when mother in law shown him 6 month old little Bittu first time, for which he waited so eagerly. Our celebration didn’t last long, after three weeks of their first meeting he passed away by leaving all of us in a big shock. It greatly saddens me that my two kids will never get to know their “Achachan” and they won’t have any memories of what a wonderful and loving grandfather he was.

4. My Grand Father: I was more close to my maternal grandparents as I lost my paternal grandparents when I was just 8 years old. I believe that My Nana (mom’s father) was the best grandfather in world. And he was the one who introduced me to the world of books. We spend our lazy afternoons together when he was half lying in his easy chair reading loudly the new poetry book which he brought, and little MoI was listening that sitting on his lap with all my eagerness. He blessed me on my marriage with his precious guidance for a better life but didn’t wait to see his grand -grand son..

5. My parents, Homeland: I miss my parents as badly as any other daughter does and I miss my homeland as any other NRI do. It deserves a whole post to write about both things so, will do it another day.

6. My Nani’s (grand mother) cooking : I miss my mom’s , my MIL’s cooking but more than that I miss my Nani’s cooking. And in sweets the “avalosunda” (Rice laddus) she used to make was just priceless. She is in her eighties and not able to cook any more but if u asks she can answer anything about her cooking even now!!

7. Festivals: I miss all the festivals and things related to it. We celebrate each festival here but it can’t be like that we used to do back home even I try my best.

8. My long thick hair: Every time when I brush my hair I realize with pain that it’s not like before anymore. There was a time when I cried to short my hair as it was a tough task for me every morning to wash them, let them dry first (hair dryer was prohibited just for me while D could use that in her short hairs!!),then making 2 braids of them tying in white ribbons before go to school. My dad never wanted me to short my hair so I stopped trying for it too. But now because of the Kuwaiti weather or water, lack of time to take care of it, 2 times postpartum effect whatever it is but it becomes half of the volume .Anyhow I have managed to keep the length at least 68% of the old one, but I miss those 2 thick braids now.

9. Danijela : She is my ex-boss but I never find a ‘bossiness’ in her, just a friend was there always to listen me. I can never forget how she cared like a elder sister (even she was younger than me) for all those long hours in office while I was carrying my second baby. After sharing those laughing, tears, joking, meeting dead lines, fun filled work environment, all those craziness for 3 years when she decided to go back home for good it was so hard for both of us. We are still keeping in touch and I hope as she wants, one day I will go to Macedonia with my family to see her in a wedding dress holding her prince’s hand.

10. Sandals: Yeah, it sounds weird but it’s true. According to our company policy no open-toed footwear are authorized during working hours, and I miss them whenever I go for a walk to sea side to refresh my mind which stucks with deadlines.

Wow …..it's time to tag somebody, am done with it and now it’s your chance ……..

Lost in Trance (I know you don't have time, but still u need to do it hehehe )
